Cool glasses, flying and continuity
Hi everyone!
Welcome to Devlog #4
In this update, we're excited to share some changes that make our game world more connected and Dynamic tan ever before. We've got new features that bring persistence, traversal, and a touch of style to our honking hero (YESSS!!, that means glasses)
# All roads Lead somewhere
Until now, each scene in our game felt a bit... isolated. But not anymore!.
We've officially connected all scenes together, creating a more cohesive and explorative experience. This means:
You can revisit previous áreas without losing progress.
New traversal options open up once abilities are unlocked.
Navigation feels more like a world instead of a series of levels unconnected.
To support this, we also added a portal system that lets you return to key áreas (like the miniboss stage!)
# A Boss Defeated... Forever!
No one likes beating a miniboss only to have them come back like nothing happened. So now, when you defeat the miniboss, it stays defeated 🧙♂️❌
The game remembers that victory and adjusts what's available to you accordingly. This opens the door to story progression and player agency in future levels.
# The Goose Takes Flight
One of the coolest new abilities we've added is... flight.
Once unlocked, the goose gains the ability to fly over obstacles and explore vertical áreas that were previously out of reach. To make it clear that the goose can fly, we've also added a styish accesory: glasses! 🕶
Because let's be honest, if you could fly, you'd probably wear cool glasses too.
# Honk if You Understand
We've improved the in-game dialogue system so the goose now clearly tells you what it can or can't do. This adds clarity to gameplay and makes it easier for players to know what's going on, without breaking immersion.
Whether it's a cheeky honk about not being able to jump yet or a proud declaration of being able to fly, the goose now keeps you better informed.

# What's Next?
We've got even more exciting features in the pipeline:
- Dialog overlay for each level entrance, inspired by Visual Novels, to tell the goose's story.
- A final level above the credits, where you Dodge flying letters from a dramatic "letter cannon".
- A reimagined jumping unlock scene as a retro-style Space Invaders level
Thanks for following the journey of our game!
Each devlog brings us one step closer to a honking good adventure
Still reading these late at night?
We appreciate you.
Goose does too. 💤
Good night, and see you next devlog!
